The winter holiday is a much-awaited break for every student. It's a time when we can finally take a breather from the hectic school schedule and recharge ourselves for the upcoming semester.
During this period, I usually spend my time indulging in various activities that I don't get to do during the school year. One of my favorite things to do is reading. I love getting lost in a good book, exploring new worlds and learning about different cultures. This winter holiday, I have already started with my reading list which includes some classic novels like 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and 'Pride and Prejudice'.
Apart from reading, I also enjoy spending time with my family. We usually plan a trip to someplace new, where we can explore the local culture, try out new food and create some beautiful memories together. Last year, we went to the mountains and spent our days skiing, building snowmen and having hot cocoa by the fireplace. It was an amazing experience and one that I will cherish forever.
In addition to these leisurely activities, I also make sure to use this time to prepare for the upcoming semester. I revise my notes from the previous semester, work on my weak areas and start preparing for any upcoming exams. This not only helps me stay ahead of the game but also makes me feel more confident and prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
Moreover, I also participate in some volunteer work during the winter holiday. It gives me a sense of satisfaction to give back to society and help those in need. Last year, I volunteered at a local orphanage where I spent my days playing with the children, teaching them English and helping them with their studies. It was a humbling experience and one that taught me the importance of giving back to the community.
